The fight for survival

I am confused about the way my life is shaping up nowadays. I believe that if things are meant to be they usually materialize effortlessly while with me my current situation is anything but effortless. Every day seems to be a new struggle to keep my head above water and when things seem to be improving something comes up and turns the odds against me. Is it that my wishes are not meant to be or is it the struggle before something that would alter the course of my life forever.
I am having a hard time getting my point across to my father and now when it seemed I almost won him over my sister is coming over to stay with us for a few days. My dad has had a falling out with my sister over some of her choices in life and they are not on talking terms. So her coming over is going to push his buttons and things would become even more difficult and to top it all time is running out.
Is the bombardment of all these struggles the test I need to go through to realize the true value of things when they materialize? Well only time would be the judge of that until and then all I can do is to put on my boxing gloves and my patience cap in jump into the ring. I am ready for the challenge......
