Wilde

Another gay themed movie that I enjoyed watching is 'Wilde' . It is based on the life of author Oscar Wilde. The movie is based on his life and relationship with 'Bosie'. The movie has an impressive star cast featuring Stephen Fry, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom among others.
I was once in a relationship with someone who was older than me and married. He had married cause that is what someone in India would do under family pressure. I was young at that time and was won over by his intelligence and wit. I won't name him here. Let's call him Mr. Big after "Sex and the City" (one of my favourite show on TV). The irony was that he had the vices of both Wilde (age, cynicism, jealousy, pride, another relationship i.e. his marriage) and Bosie (pride, lack of loyalty, social standing to flaunt, family honour to guard, temperamental behavior). So the movie was like deja vu.
It was the longest relationship that I was ever in. After that relationship it took me a long time to get back on my feet but I was a new person (for the better). There is so much to talk about Mr. Big but all in good time. Let's stick to the topic of discussion i.e. Wilde. The movie is another one that I would highly recommend. I have attached some video of the movie with the post which may be a plot spoiler so use your discretion. The pictures above are of the real Oscar Wilde and Lord Alfred Bruce Douglas and the other is of Stephen Fry and Jude Law in the movie. The resemblance is striking.
