Blast form the past
For some unknown reason the past few weeks have been a trip down memory lane. I have met a few people I had known in the past thanks to social networking sites. The whole social networking things seems a little boring to me. Usually I get friendship request from people I knew in school and college and whom I have no desire to talk to now. A few months back I met a former 'friend with benefits' - V who is now in Melbourne. We exchanged a few emails and every time he visited my profile it was followed by his jealous boyfriend. So I tried to keep my distance, as it is I have the reputation of being quite a home breaker in the past.Then a few weeks later I met his ex 'Hobbes' through someone who read this blog. Hobbes too is in Melbourne at the moment. Incidentally V and Hobbes broke up before they could start their life together in Melbourne. Hobbes and I exchanged a few messages through the social networking site and now his ex boyfriend and my ex friend - V send me a friendship request. I have an intuition it's an indirect attempt by V to keep a tab on Hobbes.
Today I got a request from S who was the first person I met online and went out with for a while. Soon I got bored and as it is I was too young (16 or 17 I guess) to be in relationship. I didn't know how to break up with him and I tried to press his buttons but that didn't work. Finally I told him that I was trying to turn 'straight'!!! I know it was nasty but don't you dare judge me, he was creepy!!!
It was through S that I met Mr Big and after having known him for 2 years Mr Big and I decided to try our luck at being together. A few days ago Mr Big had come home to see mum and he told mum that he wasn't happy with some decisions I had been making about my life!! (I don't know who asked him for his opinion but he's always been that way, thinks the world revolves around him). So it seems like a lot of people from my past are making an entry into my present but I am glad at the prospect of meeting Hobbes when he comes to Chandigarh for a break from Melbourne.
I also came out to Gil. I met Gil last year on a trip to Dharamshala. He is a theater artist and director from Israel and we got along really well. He went back home and then all over the world after that and we have kept in touch. He was in the South of India for a few months this year but we couldn't arrange a meet. Yesterday I got a mail from his from Bangkok and I don't know why but I came out to him. He is one of the first person whom I know in person that I have come out to and it was kinda strange. Gil is such a remarkable person doing what he loves and you can see the happiness and contentment on his face. There seems to be an aura around him which makes you feel happy and calm. I hope someday I can be in the place he is in life and find peace within myself and everything around me.
